Day 1: Hanoi – Bai Tu Long Bay – Cong Do – Cap La Island (L, D)
Your adventure begins between 07:45 and 08:30 AM, when the Swan Cruise shuttle picks you up from your hotel in Hanoi. As the journey heads northeast toward Halong, relax and enjoy scenic views of rice paddies and rural life in the Red River Delta. A brief rest stop midway allows you to stretch and refresh before continuing the drive.
At around 11:30 – 11:45 AM, you’ll arrive at the Ha Long International Cruise Port. Here, you’ll have a few minutes to relax in the waiting lounge before transferring to the cruise by tender boat.
Once aboard Swan Cruise Halong, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink and receive a short safety briefing about your cruise activities and onboard facilities. Check into your elegant wooden cabin, settle in, and prepare for a spectacular voyage.
At 1:00 PM, lunch is served as the boat gently cruises into Bai Tu Long Bay, a quieter and less touristy part of the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay. Feast on a traditional Vietnamese set menu while admiring the dramatic limestone islands rising from the emerald sea.
By 3:00 PM, you’ll arrive at Cap La Island, a stunning area surrounded by karst formations. Guests can kayak through hidden lagoons, swim in calm waters, or simply unwind amid the natural beauty.
At 5:40 PM, return to the cruise and enjoy the Sunset Party on the sundeck with drinks and fresh fruit. Join a Vietnamese cooking class, where you can learn to make Nem Cuon (Vietnamese spring rolls), once demonstrated by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, or try your hand at fruit and vegetable carving.
A sumptuous dinner is served at 7:00 PM in the cozy dining area. After dinner, you’re free to relax however you wish—play Vietnamese puzzle games, gather with fellow travelers for a board game, go squid fishing, or enjoy a cocktail under the stars.
Day 2: Full Day Exploration in the Bay (B, L, D)
Wake up early for a Tai Chi session at 6:30 AM on the sundeck, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay. If you prefer, simply enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while watching the sun rise above the karsts.
A Western-style breakfast will be served at 7:00 AM, energizing you for a full day of exploration.
At 8:30 AM, transfer to a smaller day boat designed for deeper exploration of the bay. The day boat journey offers the opportunity to see untouched corners of Bai Tu Long Bay that are inaccessible to larger vessels.
From 9:30 to 11:00 AM, visit Thay Cave, a hidden treasure within the bay. After exploring the cave, enjoy swimming and kayaking in the surrounding areas—perfect for those seeking adventure and connection with nature.
A delightful lunch is served onboard the day boat from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, featuring fresh local dishes.
After lunch, continue the cultural journey with a visit to Vung Vieng Fishing Village, where you’ll see floating houses and learn about traditional fishing methods. You’ll also have a chance to explore a pearl farm, gaining insight into how pearls are cultivated in the bay.
At 2:30 PM, return to the main Swan Cruise vessel for some relaxation. As the sun begins to set, join another Sunset Party followed by a second Cooking Class to sharpen your Vietnamese culinary skills.
A delicious dinner is served at 7:00 PM, and afterward, your evening is at leisure. Try your luck again with squid fishing, play games, or enjoy peaceful moments on the sundeck under the night sky.
Day 3: Bai Tu Long Bay – Thien Canh Son Cave – Halong Port (B, L)
Your final day starts again at 6:30 AM with an optional Tai Chi session or a tranquil morning on the sundeck with tea or coffee, surrounded by the stillness of the bay.
At 7:00 AM, enjoy a light Western-style breakfast as you prepare for the morning excursion.
At 7:45 AM, disembark to visit the beautiful Thien Canh Son Cave, located in the heart of Bai Tu Long Bay. A short climb leads to the cave, where you’ll discover a mystical world of sparkling stalactites and stalagmites formed over thousands of years. The panoramic view from the cave entrance is also a highlight, offering a great photo opportunity.
Return to the boat by 9:00 AM to freshen up and finish packing.
At 9:30 AM, complete your check-out process.
A final traditional Vietnamese lunch will be served onboard at 10:00 AM as the cruise slowly sails back to port.
