Itinerary: Hanoi – Lan Ha Bay – Bright & Dark Cave – Hospital Cave – Viet Hai Village – Van Boi Beach
DAY 1: HANOI – HAI PHONG – HALONG BAY – LAN HA BAY (Lunch – Dinner)
09:00 – 09:30: Pick up you from the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Begin a drive to Got pier directly on the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway.
12:00: Arrive at the pier around noon. The crew will welcome you on Mon Chéri Cruises.
12:30: Embark, get served with a welcome drink and cold towel. Also, receive the cruise briefing and safety instructions. Check-in your cabin. At lunchtime, gather at Mon Cheri luxury restaurant to have meals while sightseeing the impressive canals on the route to Halong Bay.
15:30: Explore the Light and Dark Cave which is a real haven for swimming and kayaking. Or, enjoy a boat trip rowed by the residents.
17:30: Return to the cruise and seize the extraordinary sunset moment over the Gulf of Tokin. A complimentary sunset party will be served.
18:00: Join the Vietnamese cooking sessions for the how-to of the traditional spring rolls. Also, there are options for the massage onboard (directly booking with the cruise manager).
19:00: Have dinner with great food.
20:45: Do more sightseeing of the marvelous seascape at night, especially from the top deck. Unwind well with romantic ballad music, drinks at the bar, squid fishing, and movies. Or, rest at your cabin.
DAY 2: LAN HA BAY – VAN BOI BAY – CAT BA ISLAND (Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner)
06:15: Begin with a nice day with morning Tai Chi practice as well as the gorgeous sunrise.
07:00: Gather at the restaurant to have a light breakfast.
08:00: Begin a sightseeing tour of the day. After the 15-minute bus ride, you will reach Cat Ba National Park for around 20-30 minutes of cycling in the off-the-beaten-track green trails. Note that the bus is available for people who are not fond of or cannot join this activity.
After the cycling trip through the national park, you get in a car to move to the center of the Cat Ba Town.
09:30: Explore Cat Ba Town and observe local life activities.
11:30: Get back to the cruise. Have lunch with Vietnamese food.
14:00: Reach the scenic and laid-back areas of Van Boi Bay (or Monkey Island) where you should always try kayaking and swimming at a pristine beach. Also, visit a floating village and meet the locals.
16:00: Get back on board. Have sundowners via the sunset party. Twilight is just amazing.
19:00: Have a happy dining experience at the restaurant.
20:45: Go to the top deck for admiring the photogenic sea panorama. Relax aboard with cool music, drinks, movies, squid fishing, or anything that can please you. Have a good night.
DAY 3: CAT BA ISLAND – HANOI (Breakfast – Brunch)
06:00: Start a beautiful morning with the Tai Chi practice. The sunrise view from the top deck is bewitching.
07:00: Gather at the restaurant to have a light breakfast.
08:00: Explore Cat Ba Island, and enjoy a bus ride to Trung Trang Cave which houses the magical stalagmites and stalactites.
10:00: Get on board again and complete the check-out procedure. While it’s sailing back to the pier, enjoy brunch in the restaurant.
11:30: Arrive at the port and disembark.
12:15: Take the D-car transfer and drive back to Hanoi (with an extra fee if required).
15:00: Reach Hanoi. End of Mon Chéri Cruises Tour 3 days.
